Rickshaws coming to Harrogate!
The organising committee has been in discussions with a company based in Wetherby to bring two rickshaws to Harrogate for the day. The plan is to offer free rickshaw rides around town. Further details will be given shortly.
Harrogate Car Free Day Website is Launched
At last, the website for the day has been launched in August. It will be updated regularly to keep you informed of latest developments.
Leaflet and Flyer is now available
With the generous support of Transdev, Harrogate and District Bus Company to design and print the Harrogate Car Free Day leaflet and flyers, we now have tens of thousands to distribute. If you would like copies of these publications then contact us on harrogatecarfreeday@hotmail.com

Police keen to get involved
A meeting with the Police proved very positive with arrangements for the Bike Ride agreed. Also the Police were keen to get involved in other ways and a number of ideas were discussed. Once these have been finalised, they will be publicised on the website.
Additional Funding
The local Friends of the Earth (FoE) Group has successful secured an additional £1,280 from national FoE to promote the day. This will be used to publicise and support the various events happening on the day - see What’s Happening?
